Jackie LaMaire, Director of Youth Ministry

SUNDAY SCHOOL (Spiritual Education) During Sunday School, all ages look forward to time with a trained, background-screened teacher who prays for and cares for his or her students, and activities that address multiple learning styles and personal interests. Lessons prominently feature scripture, small group discussion, and perspectives on the Christian faith through Reformed teaching and interpretation of scripture.
PRE-TEEN (5th grade – 7th grade) Each Sunday during the school year, Pre-Teen class meets from 10:45 to 11:30 am in a classroom. They are currently working through the LIVE 5th & 6th grade curriculum. This is a three-year curriculum to provide foundational teaching and insight into both the Old and New testaments. This class is staffed by two adults, and average between 3-5 students in the class, which provides an opportunity for personalized content and connections.
TEEN LOFT (8th grade – 12th grade) Each Sunday during the school year, Teen Loft meets from 10:45 to 11:30 am in the loft above the sanctuary. They are currently working through Who, Me? – a scripture and devotional study, focusing on life lessons from characters of the bible. They are encouraged to participate joint youth activities and camps with local Boulder Churches and Young Life.
1st SUNDAY CHAT (5th grade – 12th grade) On the first Sunday of the month, Pre-Teen and Teen Loft come together as one group for a special class. While enjoying breakfast pastries, a member of the church joins the group to share their faith journey, how spirituality plays a role in their life, and insight on their hobbies. This creates a special connection between our youth and members of the church and allows for students to learn the diverse paths people take in their faith formation.
Mark 12:30-31: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.
