Pastor: Mark Quist
I am stoked to be in Colorado again enjoying the great outdoors while engaging the job I love. Pastoring has been my primary work for the past 15 years. I have also enjoyed working as a Physical Therapist from time to time over the years.
Deone, my wife, and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and are blessed with three daughters, Elle, Morgan, Anna, and our son in law Dave. Deone is engaged in meaningful vocation working with children, youth, and families in matching the needs of foster children with loving families. Elle is married to Dave and both engaged in full-time work in Michigan in education related fields. Morgan and Anna are in college as a Senior (Nursing) and Sophomore (Education) in Michigan as well.
Some of my passions alongside ministry are biking, hiking, and liking to explore new things in the outdoors. Several years ago, a friend encouraged me to enter a 100 mile ultra endurance mountain bike race called the Leadville 100. After my first finish, I said to myself that I would never enter a race like that again. Yet, years later, I find myself continuing this crazy activity to the point where its become a tradition. Our favorite places to adventure is RMNP and the Indian Peaks Wilderness, the southwest Colorado San Juan Mountains, and Eastern Utah, especially Moab region. In Colorado, what’s not to love.
My heart’s desire is to see people who love God deeply and love their neighbors well. Today, the art of neighboring is in need of rejuvenation. The hope for our world is found in understanding the love of God for the world and each one of us, and responding to God’s love by loving God and our neighbor. At Crestview Church, we are committed to knowing and loving God and knowing and loving our neighbor.
So ‘howdy’ neighbor. Hope to meet you soon.
