2026-06-21: Reverend Rich Bledsoe – The Meaning Of The City
I am about as native to Boulder, CO as one can be. I grew up in Longmont, and graduated from Longmont High School (1967), and then graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in English Literature with a minor in philosophy, in 1972. I began a teaching ministry with a Young Life College group in Fort Collins, and then, in 1974 I moved to Boulder. After some years in local ministry, I attended seminary at Westminster West in Escondido, CA. After graduation, we (myself, my wife, and three children) returned to the Boulder area, I was ordained with the Presbyterian Church in America, started a church, and pastored that church for about twenty years. Since that time, I have been a hospital chaplain in both Boulder and Longmont, and a hospice chaplain with several hospices. Along the way, I received my Doctor of Ministry from Bakke Graduate School in City Ministry in 1994, and I have been extensively involved in city ministry as well.
Having been around Boulder for a long time, I have been familiar with Crestview. I am honored to have been asked to preach for you on June 21. I hope to highlight how to connect with ministry to the city as well while with you, which is something I have been extensively involved with over the years.
Yours, Dr. Richard Bledsoe
