Top 10: Philippians 3:7-11 – Profound Identity in Knowing Jesus
Good Morning Crestview Faith Family,
Sunday is Part II of a 3 week miniseries on Knowing Jesus. We began last week with Colossians 1:15-20, Knowing Jesus Profound Identity. This week, August 25th, we look at Philippians 3:7-11, Our Profound Identity in Knowing Jesus. Next week, we focus in on Ephesians 1:15-19a, To Know (Getting to Know) Jesus Better.
In the next few weeks, we will be in the midst of some sanctuary remodeling. Be prepared for seeing hanging wires, unfinished walls, steps of half-way completed remodeling… this is OK. When it comes to our worship of God, these things are external to the internal and communal reality of worship among us. The beauty of a life in and with Jesus is that worship is from the heart at any time, in any place, no matter what the external environment or circumstances. When it comes to worship of God in our lives? Any time, anywhere, all the time, in every place and space.
What to expect the next 4 weeks at Crestview 9:30 am worship services:
- August 25th: informal worship at both Crestview Church (Indoors) and at our Long Scraggy Crestview Campout (Outdoors). Crestview will host a worship service with some singing, prayer, and a video message. An informal service will also be held at Long Scraggy with possibly our best Crestview campout attendance ever. All are welcome to join us for morning worship if you desire to make the early morning drive. (1.5 hr drive from Boulder.)
- September 1st: Outdoor service on the front lawn of Crestview Church with singing, prayer time, and message from Pastor Rob Byker.
- September 8th: Indoor worship, all things we are used to, with an entirely Scripture message of Jesus’ own words from the Sermon on the Mount.
- September 15th: We begin our fall into winter rhythm of 35-40 minutes of all-church sanctuary worship followed by 30 minutes of break out discipleship engagement for all ages.
For the Kingdom,
Mark
