Summer Sermon Series begins Sunday, June 16th! We kick off summer with communion, fellowship meal, Africa visit presentation by Mark and Deone Quist, and a new interactive summer sermon series on the Top 10 (actually 13) favorite texts of the Bible… Whose favorites you may ask?
About a year ago, Ardith Rietema said to me, “You should preach on your top 10 favorite texts from the Bible.” I’ve been thinking about what she said, and here we go – sounds like a fun summer – and every message promises to be interactive and engaging! We begin in the Old Testament with Psalms 1, 19, 63, and 139, moving to Genesis 1-2, Jeremiah 9, Ezekiel 47 and Isaiah 61. Then, to the New Testament with Mark 7, Colossians 1, Philippians 3, Romans 12, and Matthew 5-7 (Sermon on the Mount). There you go – Top 10 (actually 13…) with a couple of guest speakers along the way.
June 19, 2024 – Top 10: Psalm 1 – Wisdom – Take Hold of Her!
Everyone was asked to bring their work gloves. Pastor Mark was able to incorporate cleaning up the playground with today’s message!
We then celebrated with Communion, a Potluck Feast and a presentation from Mark and Deone from their trip to Africa.
