Worship for Sunday May 31st, 2020:

Step One: Worship with prayer and song:

Prayer from Hebrews 4:14-16:

Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens,

Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,

but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace,

that we may receive mercy and find grace in time of need.

(Hebrews 4:14-16)

Song:  My Jesus I Love Thee performed by Jeff Mark Widenhofer

“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”  Psalm 90

Prayer: Read this prayer aloud and then engage a time of silence

O Lord, we confess our lack of trust.

While we read and sing of your lordship over all creation,

we have to often acted as though you are powerless in the face of today’s events.

Help us to live with confidence in your presence today

And in hope for life with you forever.

  • Jesus is a student of the Word, in every way.  Jesus is a lover of God, to the fullest extent.  Jesus is like us, except without sin.  How does this message impact you?  What is it calling you to do and how to be when it comes to loving your neighbor, who is just like you?
