SUNDAY SCHOOL (Children’s Spiritual Education)

During Sunday School, kids look forward to time with a trained, background-screened teacher who prays for and cares for his or her students, and activities that address multiple learning styles and personal interests. Lessons prominently feature scripture and, often, perspectives on the Christian faith through Reformed teaching and interpretation of scripture.

DWELL

(3 years – 4th grade)

Each Sunday during the school year, Dwell meets from 10:45 to 11:30 am in a large classroom. For fall 2017, we are working through Cereal, a creative and tasty approach to learning key principles of the Christian faith. For spring 2018, we will work through two curriculums: This class is staffed by two rotating teams consisting of a volunteer teacher and assistant, and average between 4 and 8 students which fosters hands-on teaching and learning.

PRE-TEEN

(5th grade – 7th grade)

Each Sunday during the school year, Pre-Teen class meets from 10:45 to 11:30 am in a classroom next to the Dwell room. They are currently working through the LIVE 5th & 6th grade curriculum. This is a three-year curriculum to provide foundational teaching and insight into both the Old and New testaments. This class is staffed by two adults, and average between 3-5 students in the class, which provides an opportunity for personalized content and connections.

TEEN LOFT

(8th grade – 12th grade)

Each Sunday during the school year, Teen Loft meets from 10:45 to 11:30 am in the loft above the sanctuary. They are currently completing a bible/devotional study, chosen by the rotating team of leaders, and appropriate for all teens. With our smaller class size, students can build a deeper relationship with God and each other. They are encouraged to participate joint youth activities and camps with local Boulder Churches and Young Life. We also have various teen activities and get togethers (quarterly) outside of the church.

Mark 12:30-31: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.
