Scripture Passages and Lyrics to worship songs

An Old Testament reading from Proverbs 4:23-27:

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.  Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.  Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.  Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.  Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

A New Testament reading from Matthew 6:9-10, 13; James 1:13-18

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.”  Fore God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.  Then, after desire has conceived, it give birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Don’t be deceived, by dear brothers and sisters.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does bot change like shifting shadows.  He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.”

Come and Find Us Here

Come and find us here

As we wonder where we stand
Come and find us now

As we step out from the past
Spent our days among the thorns and empty promises
Now I seek the answer that can make me whole

Come and find us here
As we wonder at your mercy

Come and fill us now

With a love that’s always near
No longer a slave to thorns and empty promises
Now I seek the keeper of my heart and soul

With a spirit of love and mercy

With  a  heart full of hope  and  joy

Now your burden and yoke is easy

I am here in Your love and I am whole

Come and find us here

As we wonder where we stand
Come and find us now

As we step out from the past
Spent our days among the thorns and empty promises
Now I seek the answer that can make me whole

With a spirit of love and mercy

With  a  heart full of hope  and  joy

Now your burden and yoke is easy

I am here in Your love and I am whole

Everlasting God

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer

You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary

You’re the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on
Wings like eagles
