Baptism is one of two sacraments of grace in the Christian church. Baptism is a celebration that is a sign and a seal of God’s grace. We will explore our understanding of the beautiful practice of Baptism through the stories of Noah and the Flood, the Exodus event of the Red Sea, the New Testament practices of John the Baptist and Jesus, and traditional practices of the Christian church. Themes for this series will range from core identity, being called and set apart for special service, moving from death to life, to rebirth and renewal. Whether as an infant, child, or adult, we are encouraged to remember our baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and everything it means for our lives today.
