VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 
Colorado Responds. To receive emails regarding specific, upcoming volunteer opportunities related to the Marshall Fire recovery volunteer opportunities, visit Colorado Responds

Samaritan’s Purse. Currently, this international Christian non-profit ministry reports that 226 homeowners have requested volunteers to help sift through ashes the Marshall Fire made after destroying their houses in Louisville and Superior. The organization now uses Boulder Valley Christian Church as its local headquarters to train and dispatch volunteer teams twice daily — at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Volunteers as young as 14 may participate. MINISTRY TO MARSHALL FIRE FIRST RESPONDERS

Ashley Oliver serves as a chaplain with Rocky Mountain Police Chaplains. She is encouraging people to continue taking meals and baked goods to the police and fire stations along with encouragement and prayer. For more information, email Ashley@rmpolicechaplains.org.

AVISTA HOSPITAL MINISTRY SUPPORT REQUESTS

Avista Hospital chaplain, Johnnathan Ward, requested help in the following areas. For more information, email johnnathanward@centura.org.

Pray on Sunday mornings with your church specifically for Avista and the 13 families of their staff community who lost homes.

  1. Pray on Sunday mornings with your church specifically for Avista and the 13 families in the hospital’s staff community who lost homes in the Marshall Fire.
  2. Provide snack baskets to be put in staff lounges.
  3. During a shift change, line the driveway with signs and/or people cheering.
  4. Pay for a tea cart that chaplains can set up for patients and staff to have “Tea with the Chaplain.”
  5. Write 1 minute prayers of encouragement, hope, and God’s love that will be read through the hospital intercom at 10am and 8:30pm.
