Jackie LaMaire’s passion for ministry stems from her desire to share God’s love, and the energy and smiles of youth.
My childhood church was small in numbers but big in heart. On Sunday mornings, I would sing songs and listen to sermons while eating
peppermint candies and drawing flowers on the weekly bulletins. My youth group class consisted of only 4 or 5 of us. While our lessons were simple and group activities were limited, it is here my spirituality grew deep, strong roots. Somewhere in those adolescent days, I learned I was loved by God and soon after, I became passionate to share His love with others.
Whether it be a smile or a prayer, listening to someone’s story, or a service experience, we all (of any age) can be stewards of His grace. As the youth ministry director, I strive to equip and empower our next generation with the tools and confidence to reach their God-given potential. In addition, my goal is to foster robust and authentic spiritual formation in each student by having class lessons taught from the Bible in a way that speaks to their life experiences now and in what is to come.
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you,” John 15:12.
