Daniel: About Kingdoms and A Kingdom: The Sovereignty of God; Humbled Pride and the Writing on the Wall

Daniel: About Kingdoms and A Kingdom: The Sovereignty of God; Humbled Pride and the Writing on the Wall

On to Daniel Chapter 5 and another supernatural happening, as the “Finger of God” writes on the wall of the room where a powerful king is partying with his nobles, multiple wives and concubines, “Mene, mene, tekel, parsin.”

That very night, the king was slain and his kingdom given to another.  This brings up so many things… God is sovereign over all history, kings and kingdoms… brings up the downfall of pride again… the wisdom of Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes to ‘number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom… and then a parable of Jesus about storing up in barns…

Wow – the Book of Daniel – powerful, wonderful, challenging, and most assuredly inspired by the Holy Spirit.  See you Sunday – Daniel chapter 5: Another king (Father like son)… the finger writing of God on the wall… another interpretation by Daniel… Divin’ in.

See you Sunday,
